Jammu & Kashmir

Media unit produces weekly radio and video programmes on social and education topics which reach around 100,000 of the Ladakhi population. 10 local journalists are trained to research and report with accuracy and impartiality.

25 schools are being set up in isolated mountain areas of Leh district, including design of a locally relevant curriculum. Training for locals and govt provides health services to 4,000 people. Eco-tourism and indigenous crafts centres in Leh support local economy.
