Aryaloka Chhattisgarh is an I.T. education project which was started by an ex-student of Aryaloka Nagpur. The project works to enable young Chhattisgarhi people from scheduled castes and scheduled tribes to overcome the barriers they face, to get an education and break out of poverty.
Scheduled castes and scheduled tribes make up more than half of the 25 million population of this state. Chhattisgarh is ranked as the second poorest state in India, the standard of living here is one of the lowest in India, and educational achievement here is significantly lower than the national average.
