Jeevak works through facilitating access to livelihoods, strong community leadership, and tackling gender-based violence. The project trains men and women in various income generating vocations such as fashion design, beautician training and mobile and computer repairs, to enable them to access the job market or set up their own business.

The project also aims to empower women to say no to violence and to seek justice for themselves by training women community leaders, providing a counselling and referral service for victims and delivering gender equality training for men in order to create a positive change in their attitudes and behaviour towards women.
