People Engaged

aryaloka computer skills

This project offers accredited IT training, English classes and confidence building sessions to more than 650 students every year in a supportive learning environment.

Funds from fee-paying students subsidise courses for those who are unable to pay and would otherwise be unable to access this kind of further education. This means that students from extremely impoverished families, who previously would only have been able to obtain low skilled poorly paid work, can gain skills, opportunities and improve their economic prospects. It also ensures that the project remains sustainable by generating income, while simultaneously breaking down caste barriers.
